About St. Thomas More

Students at Loyola Law School established the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society (“The Society”) to promote the discussion of ethical, moral, social, and political problems of interest to the legal profession, as well as to support the LLS community. During the academic year, The Society organizes tutoring and mentoring programs for first-year students, in addition to sponsoring forums that explore current legal topics.

The Society presents its Medallion Award annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of law: prior recipients include noted jurists and scholars. Membership in The Society is by invitation only: invitations are extended to second, third, and fourth-year students who are in the top fifteen percent of their class, or to students who have demonstrated a special and outstanding contribution to the study of the law at LLS.
